Colorado Chautauqua Trail

Boulder, CO

2023-04

There are a large number of trails here that allow for hikes of any  difficulty or length. The views also cannot be beaten looking up to the  flatirons or down to Boulder!

Not much to improve, everything looks very nice here.

Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame Resource Center

Arvada, CO

2023-04

Lots of content, though nothing to really see.

Should include directions to the museum in Vail.

The site was closed when I visited. This is just the warehouse where all  the extra items and reference materials for the main museum are stored. There  are tours open to the public, but there is not much to see according to the  curator.

Old Time Mill

Golden, CO

2023-04

This appeared to be an operational mill, but using older technology which  gave it a historic feel.

Although the mill was open to the public, there was no information on  display, nor path to follow. It felt more like visitors were welcome to  visit, but had to find their own information. Any signs to inform visitors of  where to go or what they were looking at would greatly improve the place.

Denver Zoo

Denver, CO

2023-04

Both the lion and tiger exhibits were exceptional. Lots of lions, and  they were all in easy to view areas. Lots of the animals also had secluded  spots they could retreat to if they were overwhelmed.

To improve, include more entrance/exits to allow for easier access to the park nearby and the rest of the city. For as close as it is to downtown there is  no easy walking path to it.

Two Ponds National Wildlife Preserve

Arvada, CO

2023-04

We were able to see 5 great horned owls just off the path which were very  cool.

There are not a lot of places to sit and observe the wildlife.  Additionally there could be more signage that indicates what birds you may be  able to see in the different areas you f the preserve.

Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge

Golden, CO

2023-04

Extremely windy, and it is easy to get a picture of the sweeping  magnitude of nature in the flatter expanses of Colorado.

More signage to direct people to the entrance instead of getting lost at  the lumber mill nearby.

Dinosaur Ridge Trail

Jefferson County, CO

Michael Trimberger

2023-04

One of the best locations to view dinosaur tracks, and there is a lot of  pointers and information about what everything is as you climb up the trail.

Not recommended for those with difficulty walking trails.
