Deer Run Wildlife Preserve Winnebago County, IL winnebagoforest.org 2023-10 Nice open paths for walking. Both meadowland and a river trail with easy access from the parking areas. One negative: There could be a sign with the overall map of the area and where the trails meander. We had to use Google maps to keep track of where we were and what we were moving toward.
Color Factory Chicago, IL 2023-10 This is a unique art exhibit as all the installations attempt to blend sight with the other senses to give new dimensions to the colors we see in each room, and around us in our lives. One negative: The scavenger hunt was pretty lacking for the cost.
